About me – Machine Learning engineer
Nils Schaetti is a machine learning engineer born in 1985 in Meyrins, Switzerland. He received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer Science from the University of Franche-Comté (France) in 2011 and 2015 respectively. Before that, he received an Advanced Federal Certificate and a Federal Diploma of IT Technician from the CFPT (Geneva, Switzerland) in 2005 and 2008.
From 2009 to 2011, he holds a full-time C++ developer position at Brady PLC. He was involved at Brady on developing and testing trading softwares using various C++ development environments like Microsoft Visual Studio.
From 2011 to 2013, he holds a full-time HPC linux system specialist position at the EPFL were he was involved in the deployment and support of HPC clusters, and in the development of monitoring softwares. From 2014 to 2016, he holds a system test engineer position at Nagravision (Kudelski group) where he worked on testing DRM systems for a large set of platforms in a continuous integration framework. He completed all his academic studies with the highest honors while pursuing a full-time professional activity.
From 2014 to 2015, he was the co-creator of several interactive 3D web platforms for the medical education developed for academic organisations like the University of Dundee and the Cambridge University hospitals.
Since November 2016, he is a full-time PhD student in the field of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing at the University of Neuchâtel. Nils Schaetti is the author or coauthor of peer-reviewed papers about Reservoir Computing and interactive 3D web platforms for education. His research interests are in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Formal logic, Virtual Reality for education and Blockchain applications.
